I still remember the year 1976 and the excitement that surrounded that very important birthday of our country. The parades and fireworks to celebrate that wonderful time. The projects we made in art class that centered around learning about the founding of our country. The jug of bicentennial quarters I saved as a child.
Now as we approach the 250th birthday, I have been thinking about different ways to mark this occasion with students.
I thought a birthday party theme was perfect and created a few resources to go along with the celebration. What's a party without a party hat.
Students will love creating their very own party hats. These crowns come in both color and black & white with flags on the bands. Let students add a little glitter to the fireworks to really make
them sparkle.
As you plan your party let students do some creative writing. These writing prompts will get them started and give them a chance to do some drawing.
